Open Letter to the Board of Directors
Dear Members of the Board,
First of all: Be assured that I am well aware that it is not always pure fun to serve on the board. We all, the members of the SSS owe you for your service.
Obviously, right now, we are in a difficult situation, especially with an “in-fight” within the board. A possible outcome may very well be a lot of money spent on legal fees, as well as lawsuit and a court decision.
In trying to help to avoid this outcome, I BEGG you, the members of the board, to:
1.: Lean back emotionally and ask yourself: “Is this fight rally in the interest of the SSS as a whole”?
2.: If your answer is “no” or “ maybe, perhaps not so very much”, please motion, second and vote to nullify your decision to remove one of you from the board.
3.: If the above mentioned motion fails, PLEASE motion, second and vote not to spend a single dollar on legal fees regarding this matter.

club burgee: no-one suggested it before (although the burgee has always appeared as an icon in the browser tab). But it seems like a good idea, there is space for it in the top left corner, so I’ll place it there.
club picture as background: do you mean background or header image? Placing an image as background would make the overlying text very hard to read. As header image(s), yes. There are 11 images currently being cycled in the header, 4 of the 11 are club related and submitted by club members. You send the pics, I”ll put them up there… (but note these requirements for header images)

Is there a specific reason why our club burgee, a picture of our club, or anything related our club is not a part of the background on our web page?
Serious question. Not trying to be confrontational in any manor.

An Open Appeal to the Members of the Sailing Squadron from Mark and Sam Christner
A few months ago, Sam and I rejoined the club after 11 years away. We came out one afternoon and were asked to leave by the police and informed that we were “banned” from the club. No one has yet told me why or allowed us a chance to respond but they are considering our membership status at the meeting on the 14th of this month. If any one remembers us and has influence with the board, please speak on our behalf. I have been informed we will not be allowed to attend the meeting and we have a trespass warning against us.
