Drifting As Fast As We Can

We had an interesting day of racing Saturday in very light winds. 10 Scots set out for the race course. Eight Scots started (2 of the Scots got to the line about 5 minutes late and entered the race, 2 of the Scots just couldn’t make it to the line in the dying breeze.) Thank you to Norris and Mike for getting in a race in the trying conditions. The course sailed was starting at I, sail to H and return. Boats were spread all across the bay as teams searched for zephyrs to carry them along. After spotting the bulk of the fleet a 5 minute head start, Brave Heart charged to third place. Mojito and Marvin battled all the way around the course with Marvin sliding in first for a hard fought victory. Fortunately for all the breeze filled in enough to bring us home for some good food, cold beer and a few laughs. Thanks to all for the great food. Quiche, Gourmet Cheese, Cake, Nuts, what could be better?
We are on again for next Saturday. Early forecasts are for a great day. I know we will be there early to get to the start on time.
