Flying Scots Cover The State.

While many of you were catching up on neglected chores and shopping, some Fleet 36 Flying Scot racers covered the state last weekend from the west coast to the east coast. In the Commodore’s Cup Regatta at SSS Andy sailed Over Easy and represented us well. Over in JAX under the watchful eye of practicing F-18s, Sidewalk Express, Piggy & Mojito mixed it up with 19 Flying Scots in the Florida District regatta. Conditions were no wind to light winds with some river current worked in. Hospitality was great, food was plentiful and the keg was tapped and a good time was had by all. The Florida district defended the Wally Gator Trophy against all comers for another year.
This Saturday, Dec 14 at 1:30 is our next fleet race. It is also our last race date before the new year. We still need an RC.  After the race is a holiday dinner at the squadron and at 5:30 our Club’s annual awards ceremony recognizing key members and sailors from 2013. Later in the evening the boat parade can be seen from the squadron.
Our upcoming season series dates are:

Put them on your calendar.
The last weekend of January  is the next district regatta at Port Charlotte. It is an open weekend on our schedule and is a great chance to take in an away regatta and still sleep in your own bed.
