NOVEMBER 8th & 9th 2014

 

Flying Scot Fleet 36 and the Sarasota Sailing Squadron invite Flying Scot sailors to compete in the 2nd regatta of the Florida State Championship Series for 2014/2015.

 

Saturday:  9:00 AM.      Registration

11:00 AM.      Skippers meeting

12:30 PM.      Racing Begins

After races     Dinner

 

Sunday:  10:30 AM.      Racing Begins

After races     Awards

 

Lodging:   Check the Squadron web site for a list of local motels.  www.sarasotasailingsquadron.org
Camping is allowed on a limited basis at the Squadron, please see the Club Manager upon arrival.

 

Scoring: Low point system, 5 races max. 1 race constitutes a regatta, no                           throw outs.

 

Trophies: 20 Entries or more, Top 5 places, Skipper and Crew. Less than 20 entries, Top 3 places, Skipper and Crew.

 

Rules:  The current Racing Rules of Sailing, Prescriptions of US Sailing and the Class rules of the FSSA will apply.

WAIVER STATEMENT – Must be signed by each Skipper before registration is completed.

 

I UNDERSTAND the inherent risks of sailboat racing. I agree that the decision to race or not must be made solely by the Skipper of each boat, and that the responsibility for the safety of each boat and all crew members rests solely with the Skipper of that boat.

 

I will not hold the Sarasota Sailing Squadron, its staff, members or agents responsible for any damage or injury incurred in the course of participation in this regatta.
