Yes, the parenthesis means the race was thrown out. As indicated on the Summary line just above the Legend, this particular series permits one throwout in total. With only two of the races in the series completed, the effect of the throwout is exaggerated. As the series progresses, the thrown out race for any particular boat will vary depending upon the worst race so far – until the series is complete.
The decimal places in the Division Points column indicates how a Series Tie was broken. The possibility of a Series Tie is at its greatest when only 2 races have completed, and will diminish as the series progresses.

Not sure how the overall scoring for these first two races is calculated… Something looks a bit confusing unless you are already taking a “throwout” in the scoring… Just askin!!!
